Zdeněk Hanzálek from Department of Control Engineering obtained a prestigious project in Horizon 2020 programme.

Together with partners from ETH Zurich, Magneti Marelli and Airbus, the CTU team will develop an autonomous driving system based on a heterogeneous multi-core platform. The project, named HERCULES, deals with embedded systems that are able to provide real-time guarantees to complex applications running on the top of parallel hardware. Optimization algorithms and FPGA coprocessors designed by our team and University of Modena are supposed to exploit as much as possible the performance potential of the cutting-edge multi-core platforms without sacrificing predictability.
